I just got my nails done yesterday for the first time in a year. I absolutely love having them done.
How do you ladies like your nails? French? Design? Long? Short? Square? Round? Color? Colored tips? Do you get your toes done too? How often? How much do you pay? How long does it take? What really bugs you about the person doing your nails?
I never got my feet done. Is it worth it? I live in NC and it%26#039;s $25 for a pedicure. I always pay $16 every 2 or 3 weeks for a fill in. I don%26#039;t like the thought of giving out another $25 for my feet.
I always just get a basic color on my nails. Yesterday I got %26quot;cotton candy%26quot; ...looks kinda whitish pinkish..like the color of a pearl.
The guy who did my nails was on the phone most of the time. That bugged me..and he kept turning back to look at the TV. I didn%26#039;t leave a tip and I had plans on not going back. BUT...he did an amazing job! I may go back even though his service was lousy.
Any ladies have a story to tell?
LADIES! Do you get your nails/toes done?
I like it when my nails are long but i don%26#039;t grow them out very often. If i get them done, i get a french manicure. I like them squared. I loooooooove getting my toes done but i always get ridges on my toenails so i don%26#039;t go too often. Uhm, I guess i pay $20 plus extra if i get a french on my toes. It takes like 30+ minutes. And i hate getting my cuticles cut :]
get a pedicure! it%26#039;s like heaven :]
LADIES! Do you get your nails/toes done?
I like square acrylics with a french manicure tip! hmmm... a story...?
Well so the first time I ever got acrylics there were 3 girls and 1 guy. I got the guy which is weird for me being a 13 year old girl. Anyways, he had HUGE diamond studded hoop earrings and three necklaces on, he never talked he pointed and gestured everything!
Reply:Yes, I get a fill-in every other week (30-45 minutes -- $24) %26amp; pedicure each month (~ 1 hour -- $35). DH likes french manicure best so that%26#039;s usually what I do on my hands... but, I love RED toes!! They are usually some bright shade varying from coral-red-pink :)
If you like the French look, choose to get white tips for your next set of nails... that will save you some $ on fills for a few weeks (you can just have sheer pink on nails %26amp; not have to pay extra for painting white part).
My nail tech doesn%26#039;t talk on the phone, but doesn%26#039;t say alot to me either.... fine with me.... I prefer to have quite time instead of trying to make conversation %26amp; bond with my nail tech!
Yes, I tip... but have no idea how much... DH goes with me %26amp; he%26#039;s always done first so he pays.
Enjoy!
Reply:I love getting my nails done. Unfortunately I have bad fingernails so I usually get fake tips. I only get this done maybe 4 or 5 times a year because I can%26#039;t keep up with the fill-ins and they take a long time to remove. I like square cut, and I like them long. I think it looks very pretty that way. I usually get full colour in a blue, purple or green. Not too flashy though so it doesn%26#039;t clash. For special ocasions I like french manicures (square cut and long) with rhinestones. They look classy yet very fun. To tell you the truth, I have never gotten a pedicure. I usually wear closed toe shoes so it doesnt matter. In the summer i will paint my own nails and they usually look fine.
Story: Well one day I was getting the fake tips put on and the man took the buffing thing and started buffing it. Well incase you didnt know, the tool he used was like a thin metal rod and on the end of it was a spinning metal cylinder with like a nail file type material on it. It was spinning extremely fast and guess what. He missed my nail and starting filing my skin! he didnt notice for the longest time. It was like bleeding. Then he proceded to put like some chemical on it and thats when i screamed. The manicure looked nice except for the one nail I had to have a band-aid over because of the cut.
Oh yes, and it costs around $50 for fake tips and around $5 for the french polish or the regular colour. So like $55. Fill ins are around $15
